Since February 2017, Bishop Jeff Robinson has served as Lead Pastor for Plant City Church of God, a thriving multi-generational, cross cultural congregation located in eastern Hillsborough County Florida.
A native of Chattanooga, TN, Pastor Robinson came to Plant City from Indianapolis, IN where he served six years as Administrative Bishop for the Church of God in Indiana.
Pastor Robinson is a graduate of Lee College (B.S., 1986) and of Georgia State University (M.B.A., 1989). In 1988, he married his college sweetheart and partner for life, Carla Jane Miller, a pastor’s daughter from Maryland.
Thirty years of ministry have taken Pastor Jeff & Carla from associate ministerial staff positions to pastorates in Tennessee (1989-1992) and Maryland (1992-2002). From 2002-2006 they served as Evangelism & Home Missions Director for the DelMarVa-DC Church of God conference where they coached pastors and helped organize 23 churches. Immediately prior to moving to Indiana, the Robinson’s lived in Bismarck, ND where they served for five years as Administrative Bishop and Women’s Discipleship President respectively of the Church of God in the Dakotas and Montana.
Pastor Robinson was a member of the General Assembly Board of Parliamentarians for 14 years, and a member of the National Evangelism & Home Missions Board for the denomination. After a short term of service on the Publications Board, he was appointed to the Lee University Board of Directors in 2012, where he presently serves and is a post to which he is particularly drawn, especially since his three children, Stone, Abigail and Lily are all current Lee students.
Pastor Robinson is a third generation gospel preacher who thrives on communicating a relevant message of God’s Word to this generation and seeing the transforming presence of God cultivated in people’s lives.
