Connect Groups – Pastor JD & Angie Woodside

Christian Education – Cheryl Johnston
Every Plant City Church of God class is a Connect Group, so Plant City Church of God encourages all to plug into our 9AM Sunday School or 7PM Wednesday classes. You’ll form new friendships and discover new truths for your life.

Crochet Group – Brenda McInnis
The crochet group meets every other week on Tuesdays for instruction and to create handmade items for themselves and others. Examples to share include lap blankets, newborn baby caps and headbands, etc. Join them from 6:30 – 8:00PM in the church conference room.

Fortify – Julian Brownlow & Josiah Colon
This Bible study for younger men, teens to late 20s, meets in the Soul’d Out building on Tuesday nights at 6:30PM.

Grief Share – Dolores Stropagel
This support group for those who have suffered a loss meets Tuesday weekly at 6PM in Room 14. Open to all, come to a safe place and learn how God restores us in tough times.

Handbells  – Cindy Smith
Beginning September 26, those interested in learning handbells should meet in the choir ready room at 6:45PM on Mondays. Practice continues until 8:15PM.

Jr. KIDS Church – Jennifer Linton
Our children ages 3-5 worship from 10AM to 12:30PM on Sundays through Bible lessons and activities. Volunteers are always appreciated.

KIDS Church – Pastor Greg & Billie Jo Davis
Our children in grades K-6 worship in the fellowship hall on Sundays, beginning at 10:15AM. They learn to love God through Bible lessons, music, and life application. Outreaches include the annual Spring Extreme, summer movie trips, and other adventures that help children and families connect.

Men of the Word Bible Study – Jonathan Wright
Join the men who meet Tuesdays weekly at 6:30PM in the choir ready room for Bible study, camaradarie, and encouragement.

Mpact Girls Clubs – Lisa Varnum & Team
Rainbows, Daisies, Prims, and Stars meet Wednesdays at 7PM. The girls in Pre-K through Grade 6 learn Biblical principles and earn badges for their lessons. To enroll your child or volunteer, please call 813-752-4591.

Nursing Home Ministry
Group members meet third Fridays monthly at Solaris Health Center of Plant City to share friendship, hymn-singing and devotional Bible teaching with residents and those in rehabilitation.

Rise Up Men’s Prayer Group – Chuck Hall
All men are welcome to pray at the church each Saturday at 8AM. Some also enjoy a Dutch-treat breakfast afterward in a local restaurant.

Royal Rangers  – Tony Holt, Sr.
Boys and youth develop Christ-like character and servant leadership skills through this age-tiered, Bible-based scouting-style program of Ranger Kids, Discovery Rangers, and Adventure Rangers. They meet Wednesdays at 7PM to earn badges and learn to apply Biblical principles to their lives. Activities include camping, Pinewood Derby, outings, games, and Scripture memorization. Scuba Diving Group [Coming Soon] – Brad Varnum
All are welcome to enjoy friendship during scuba trips to area springs and beaches.

Sewing Group – Carol Hunt
Those who enjoy sewing or want to learn meet on Mondays weekly at 10AM in the fellowship hall. Projects include clothing for children in Haiti and comfort pillows for surgery patients. Feel free to bring your portable machine and scissors.

SOLO Singles – Bob & Diane Boyer
SOLOs meet on Fridays weekly at 6:30PM in the fellowship hall for dinner, Bible Study, and friendship. Off-site outings often include bowling, beach/parks or fishing, and movie trips. All are welcome to the Sunday School class at 9AM in Room 3 as well.

Soul’d Out Youth
Out youth from grades 6-12 meet Wednesdays at 7PM and for Sunday School at 9AM in their very own building (with café). As they grow spiritually, they can get involved in intereset teams such as creative arts, media/technology, music, evangelism, outreach, sporting competitions, and Teen Talent.

T.A.G. – Mallory Gay
“The Anointed Generation” (T.A.G), our KIDS Church praise team, practicies Wednesdays from 6:00-6:50PM in room 17. Students learn to sing, sign, and present dramas. Our congregation loves watching their confidence grow.

Titus 2 Women – Sheila Winter
All women are welcome on Wednesdays weekly at 7pm in room 16 for Bible study, prayer, and friendship. Members grow by sharing what God is doing in their lives.

Volleyball Teams – Jeremy Bendorf
All are welcome to compete in Friday night games in East Tampa.

Women of Devotion – Cindi Parrish
Bible teaching, intercessory prayer, and friendship happens Tuesdays weekly at 9:30AM in Room 16. All women are welcome, regardless of the church they attend.

Worship Arts Ministry – Pastor JD & Angie Woodside
The Music Ministry of the Plant City Church of God unites many individuals together for one ultimate purpose: To magnify the name of Jesus!

The Woodsides lead our Worship Arts Ministry which involves: Adult Choir & Youth Choir, Dramas/Musicals, Praise & Worship Band/Singers, Special Singing Groups, Special Children’s Choirs, and Media Team.

In addition to planning for sanctuary services, they also organize events such as Red Back Hymnal Sings, Talent Showcase Evenings, and Flash Mob caroling for Christmas. If you love music, this is the perfect connect group. The scheduled weekly rehearsal time for Choir/Band is on Wednesdays from 7-9:00PM. For details, e-mail jd.woodside@pccog.com.

Bereavement & Benevolence – Faye Judah
This ministry ensures grieving families can enjoy a comforting meal after a funeral or Celebration of Life service. Volunteers plan, prepare food and serve in the fellowship hall following services. They smile, encourage, and set up / clean up. They also respond when families struggle with other issues. To help, call 813-752-4591.

First Impressions [Welcoming/Hospitality] – Mike & Becky Cross
Our welcoming teens and adults greet at the PCCOG entrances on Sundays so people experience the joy that lives here. We’re always looking for friendly folks to help us accomplish this mission.

GAP [Graduates And Professionals] College & Career Ministry – Jeremy & Karen Bendorf
This young adult class meets Sunday mornings at 9AM in room 5 for Bible study, prayer and friendship. They also enjoy outreaches and social gatherings for dinner, cookouts, movies, trips, and sporting events.

Men of Action
Our men team up to meet practical needs for those who need a little help. They also work on church beautification projects. For friendship fun, its sports and outings. All men are welcome to get involved.

Media Team Pastor – JD Woodside
Did you know a team of approximately 15 folks volunteer weekly to make certain our video and audio technology functions properly for church services and special functions? We’re always looking for faithful helpers, and you don’t have to be a techie. We train you!

Missions Ministry – Earl Burkett
Our Missions Board sponsors events and fundraisers for missions. Volunteers are always welcome, and everyone can donate.

Nursery/Toddlers Ministry – Leslie Whitfield & Team
Oh, how we love children at Plant City Church of God. Volunteers serve by rocking babies, playing with toddlers, and ensuring every child’s safety.

Operation Compassion – Dolores Stropagel
Volunteers share God’s love through food drives from the United Food Band and for Thanksgiving/Christmas outreaches at Plant City Church of God. Call 813-752-4591 to offer your help.

Parrish Nursing Ministry – Joan Connors
A volunteer team of career nurses provide blood pressure checks at several church wide events. Call 813-752-4591 to offer your help.

Pastors’ Breakfast – Susan Gales
Newcomers can meet our Pastors and enjoy a gourmet breakfast in the church conference room at 9:00AM the first Sunday monthly. It’s helpful to call 813-752-4591 with the size of your group, but not required. We desire to help you feel connected quickly!

Plant City Academy of the Arts – Sandra Waldron
Private lessons for piano, guitar, violin, drums and voice are offered weekday afternoons. Recitals are presented twice annually. Contact Sandra at 813-986-3093 or pianoplayer72@msn.com.

Prayer Ministry – Chuck Hall
Help team members pray for our church services, families, community, nation and other requests.

Pregnancy Care Center
Women from our church reach out to new mothers who have visited the Pregnancy Care Center of Plant City. The group makes care baskets, baby blankets, and phone calls for encouragement.

SAGE (Senior Adults—Godly Examples) – Frank & Susan Gales
Our senior citizens love to gather for food, fellowship, outings and fun. This happy group welcomes everyone to join in, to connect, and to build new friendships. Events are typically broadcast in the bulletin

jOURneys – Pastor Carla Robinson
Our Plant City Church of God Women’s Ministry includes the Titus 2 Women and Women of Devotion classes, along with jOURneys events for ladies here and in our community. Examples include an annual retreat, FriendZy interest classes, and Girls Night Out events. Women of every age are invited to connect through jOURneys.

Translation Ministry – Esther Sandoval
Translation in Spanish is available for our 10:15AM Sunday worship services in the sanctuary. Find Esther in the balcony for a headset.

Widows/Widowers – Pastor Carla Robinson
Through ongoing friendships and gatherings, we minister to those who’ve lost a spouse. Make a connection and enjoy sending cards, sharing a meal, or visiting. We can’t have too many new friends!

Words as Worship Writers – Cheryl Johnston
Writers can share Jesus through their God-given gift by publishing articles, devotionals, poetry and stories that strengthen faith. Writing instruction and critique sessions are also available. E-mail c.johnston@pccog.com.
